3 Carson’s Department Stores Closing In Metro Detroit

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Carson’s Department Stores in Michigan are closing up three locations around metro Detroit Carson’s in Rochester Hills, Clinton Township and Livonia are set to close sometime near June 5.

The company that owns Carson’s The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year and has been trying to reorganize or sell the business. A total of 525 jobs will be lost at the three Carson's locations in Livonia, Rochester Hills and Clinton Township. A Younkers store in Grandville will also close.
