3 Hurt In Rochester Hills Crash After Driver Runs Red Light: Sheriff

Three people were injured (one critically) Tuesday night after a crash in Rochester Hills, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI β€” Three people were injured (one critically) Tuesday after a crash in Rochester Hills, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

Officials said a 30-year-old Rochester Hills woman was driving a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee north on Adams road when she ran a red light at Avon Road and smashed into a 2012 Honda Accord at 11:17 a.m.

A 75-year-old Rochester Hills man, who was driving the Honda, and a 73-year-old Rochester Hills man were injured in the crash and taken to a nearby hospital where they were listed in stable condition, officials said.

A 74-year-old Rochester Hills man was also in the Honda and taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition, officials said.

Police do not know if any of the men in the Honda were wearing a seatbelt, officials said. The driver of the jeep was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash, officials said.

Officials did say, however, that the Honda had the right away as it was turning left on a green light from Avon Road onto Adams road when the jeep smashed into the car.
