3 Pets Die in Rochester Hills House Fire

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office's Fire Investigation team assisted the Rochester Hills Fire Department in determining the cause of fire.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – Three pets perished Saturday in a fire in Rochester Hills that authorities determined was accidental.

The homeowners were gone from the residence on the 200 block of Marquette Court when a passerby reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the residence about 4:41 p.m. Saturday, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The sheriff’s office responded, along with the Rochester Hills Fire Department, which put out the fire.
