Metro Detroit, MI — If you’re starting to plan your Independence Day celebrations — and you should be — here’s a list of some of the fireworks displays in southeast Michigan. Some displays are scheduled in advance of the 4th of July weekend.

Rochester Festival of the Hills Fireworks, June 29 at 10:06 p.m., Borden Park, 1400 E. Hamlin Road (free)

Freedom Fireworks at Addison Oaks County Park, July 1 at 10 p.m., 1480 W. Romeo Road, Leonard ($10 per vehicle after noon, free with annual permit)

Hazel Park Raceway Fireworks, July 1 at 10:30 p.m. or after last race, 1650 E. 10 Mile Road, Hazel Park (free)

Freedom Fireworks at Groveland Oaks Park, July 2 at dusk, 14555 Dixie Highway, Holly ($10 per vehicle after 5 p.m.)

Lake Orion Fourth of July Fireworks, July 2 at dusk,Green’s Park, 100 S. Park Blvd., Lake Orion ($6 for a single day park pass)

White Lake Fireworks at Goodrich Park, July 2, at dusk.

Birmingham Fireworks, July 3 at dusk, Lincoln Hills Golf Course, 2666 West 14 Mile Road (free)

Wolverine Lake Tiki Night and Fireworks, July 3 at dusk, launched centrally from Wolverine Lake

Sylvan Lake Fireworks, July 3 at 10 p.m., Oakland County Boat Club, 2330 Ferndale St., Sylvan Lake (free; parking available at the Community Center, $15 for spots reserved in advance, $20 day of fireworks)

Clawson Fourth of July Festival, July 4 at dusk, Clawson City Park, 935 N. Custer Ave. ($2 per person)

Independence Fest in Clarkston, July 4 at 10 p.m., Clintonwood Park, 6000 Clarkston Road ($5 parking until 6 p.m., $10 per car after 6 p.m.)

Seymour Celebration Fireworks in Oxford, July 7-9 at dusk, Seymour Lake Township Park, 2795 Seymour Lake Road ($5 per vehicle parking after 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday)
