AC/DC Lead Singer Faces Hearing Loss, Band Cancels Tour
The lead singer of one of the hardest-rocking bands in the world could lose his hearing, doctors say. A Metro Detroit show is cancelled.

AUBURN HILLS, MI – The heavy metal band AC/DC has halted its “Rock or Bust” World Tour, which was to have included a stop at The Palace at Auburn Hills, because lead singer Brian Johnson’s doctors have warned him that he could lose his hearing forever if he continues.
AC/DC will reschedule all of its dates through early April, including the March 20 show at The Palace, publicists said in a news release.

It’s unclear if Johnson’s prognosis means the end of his live performance career.
A guest vocalist is likely to appear with the hard-rocking band, which grew from humble beginnings in Australia to become an arena-filling phenomenon.

More information regarding these rescheduled shows will be released later, according to the news release.
Current ticket holders can hold on to their tickets for the rescheduled dates or receive a refund at point of purchase.
