Add Rochester Area's Birds to the National Tally Sunday

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm will be presenting the Backyard Bird Count at the Museum on Sunday, Feb. 15.

There will be two sessions. The 11:30 a.m-12:30 p..m. program is for adults and the 1-3 p.m. program is for families. Admission is free for Rochester Hills Museum members. The cost for non-members is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

The Museum will be participating in the 18th annual Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC).

The GBBC is a national bird count that is led by the Cornell Lab of Orthnithology, National Audubon Society, and Bird Studies Canada. This program will introduce guests to the GBBC and how they can participate in this important citizen science project.

Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring their own binoculars for the outdoor portion of the program. Children ages 7 and up are welcome . To register call (248) 656-4663 or e-mail rhmuseum@rochesterhills.org
