After Dallas Shootings, Residents Show Appreciation to Rochester Police

Gifts of food and cards flood the Rochester police station.

Rochester, MI — Police in Rochester have seen an outpouring of support since last Thursday's sniper attack that killed five Dallas police officers and injured seven others.

Two kids with homemade cards showed up at police headquarters Saturday to show their appreciation for police, according to posts on the Rochester Police Department's Facebook page.



"A huge thank you to Anthony and Scarlett (1st grade and kindergarten) for stopping by to show your support," the police department posted. "Thank you to everyone that has been so kind. We really appreciate it!"

Later, children named Easton and Violet stopped by with treats.

Anthony, Natalia and Jenna Quinn followed suit with pastries and fruit.

Danielle Carlesimio and two young "helpers" brought in pizza and pop. The kids said, "Thanks for keeping us safe!"
