All Four Rochester High School Interact Clubs Earn Coveted Rotary

On 11/11, Rotary International honored all four Rochester High School Interact Clubs with the Rotary International Presidential Citation.

Rochester, MI – On November 11th, Rotary International honored all four Rochester High School Interact Clubs with the Rotary International Presidential Citation Award for the 2016-2017 academic year. This marks the third consecutive year that all four Interact Clubs have distinguished themselves for this landmark achievement, which illustrates the depth of commitment at every level, from the students and faculty advisers to the school administrators and local Rotary Club.

The recipients of the Presidential Citation awards were:

  • Interact Club of Rochester High School (Faculty Advisor: Kelly Messing–Mirabito)
  • Interact Club of Stoney Creek High School (Faculty Advisor: Laurene Kaschalk)
  • Interact Club of ACE High School (Faculty Advisor: Jeff Fosnaugh)
  • Interact Club of Adams High School (Faculty Advisor: Tim Mullins)

“The Presidential Citation award is Rotary’s attempt to define the characteristics of a successful and growing Interact Club. Only about 15% of the Interact Clubs active in 120 countries around the world, earn this Presidential Citation by inspiring positive change thereby improving their communities.” Wayne Hodges, Director of the Rochester Rotary Club Youth Services said. Hodges concluded his comments with a sincere thanks to the Faculty Advisors who provide overall leadership for each Interact Club. We simply could succeed without their devoted support.
