Rochester Group Holding Town Hall To Save Historic Building: What To Know

ROCHESTER, MI — A community group looking to save a historic Rochester building will hold a town hall next month.

The Harrison Center Project will hold the public event at the Rochester Community House, located at 816 Ludlow Avenue on Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 6-8 p.m.

The group is looking to turn the former Rochester Community Schools Administration Building into a space to better serve the community.

They want to use the space to launch multiple programs, such as youth programming, arts and culture, health and wellness initiatives and civic engagement.

The building is owned by the Rochester Community Schools District, which is planning to sell the historic building. The building has sat essentially vacant at 501 W. University Drive in Rochester since August 2022.
