OXFORD TOWNSHIP, MI — A 77-year-old man is recovering after he was rescued from a lake in Oxford Township on Sunday, according to sheriff's officials.
The incident happened at 1:20 p.m. Sunday at Paint Lake in Oxford Township, officials said.
Officials were called to the lake on a report of an unresponsive man in the water roughly 20 feet from shore.
They pulled the Rochester Hills man from the lake and immediately performed lifesaving measures, officials said.
He was then taken to a nearby hospital where he is now in stable condition, officials said.
Investigators believe the man fell from a dock while launching a boat. He was not wearing a life jacket.
Officials do not believe alcohol played a role in the incident.
