Ascension Providence Rochester Names New Cardiovascular Leader
Dr. Choksi, a highly respected interventional cardiologist, has been in practice for over 25 years

Nishit Choksi, M.D., a renowned cardiovascular physician, has been named director of Cardiovascular Services for Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital.
Dr. Choksi, a highly respected interventional cardiologist, has been in practice for over 25 years. He was instrumental in establishing the interventional cardiology program at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital in the mid-1990s.
“Dr. Choksi is a respected leader and provides his patients with compassionate and skilled heart care. Under his leadership, the cardiology program at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital will become stronger, enhancing the quality of care provided to patients in the Rochester community,” said Shukri David, M.D., chair of cardiovascular services for Ascension Michigan.

Dr. Choksi has been widely published in numerous medical journals and is active in both teaching and research. Prior to rejoining Ascension Providence Rochester, he held leadership positions at other major health systems in Metro Detroit.
“Dr. Choksi's reputation and standards for uncompromised quality are well recognized throughout the medical community and his presence at our hospital will undoubtedly energize the cardiology program across multiple dimensions,” said Chris Palazzolo, president and CEO of Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital. “We look forward to his leadership as we continue to focus on growth in cardiology and all of our clinical services.”

Dr. Choksi is board certified and fellowship trained in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Choksi completed his internship, residency and fellowship training at William Beaumont Hospital.
