Named an Avondale High School Top Scholar, Rana Aqrawi resides in Troy, Michigan and is the daughter of Saad Aqrawi and Raya Jirjees. Throughout her high school career, Rana has served on Class Board as well as the Avondale High School Student Government. As part of the “Moral Masters”, she reached the Semi-finals in the 2020 Michigan High School Ethics Bowl. Rana was also a member of the Green Team, the Art Club, and the MedClub. As a student at Troy High School, she received the Certificate of Honors for Outstanding Academic Achievement. She also serves as a community volunteer at the Troy Library and her church where she assists with event planning. It is fitting that she is pursuing a career in medicine, having explored medical service as a volunteer in both physician and dental offices. Considering Oakland University in the fall, Rana plans to major in Pre-medicine with an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering.
