Burned Body Found May Relate To Rochester Hills Missing Report

The charred body was found by Detroit Police in a car on Detroit's westside.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A charred body found in a burned car on Detroit's westside Wednesday morning may be connected to a missing person's report from Rochester Hills, Detroit Police said.

Police said they were called to reports of a vehicle fire on the 12800 block of Chapel Wednesday morning at 12:30 a.m.

Once the fire was out, officers discovered the body in a burned 2018 Chevrolet Impala, police said.

The car was reported missing from Rochester Hills earlier Wednesday morning, police said.

Officials do not know the identity of the victim because the body was burned beyond recognition, police said.

However, Detroit police are questioning two persons of interest in connection to the homicide investigation.
