About Us

Non-Profit Organizations

Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA) evolved out of the Art & Apples Festival® which held its first event in Rochester Municipal Park in 1965. Today, an art school, gallery exhibition space and consignment art market are hosted in PCCA's building.

Paint Creek Center for the Arts’ mission is to celebrate and support creativity in our community by providing opportunities for all to learn, create, experience, and appreciate the arts.

The Art & Apples Festival was founded and produced by local residents and businesses in Rochester® for almost 20 years. This group founded the Rochester Arts Commission in 1976 with the goal of establishing a community art center in Rochester. In 1983, PCCA was established and opened its doors to the public at its current location at 407 Pine Street in Rochester, Michigan. PCCA took over management of the Art & Apples Festival® in 1983 and has continued to produce the annual event which boasts a top 50 national ranking (by Sunshine Artist Magazine) for several years running.

Since 1983, PCCA has been dedicated to promoting the arts and artistic excellence through a full range of cultural programs including exhibitions, studio art classes, outreach programs, community involvement projects, and the continuation of the Art & Apples Festival®.
