Michigan’s first internal improvement project dates back to
1837 - a proposed canal that ran from Lake St. Clair to Lake
Michigan, straight through the Rochester community! Retrace
its route from Mt. Clemens to Rochester. Bring a bag lunch.
Participants drive themselves to multiple locations throughout
the tour. Meet at Clinton Township Historic Village Museum,
40700 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township. Presented by the
Clinton and Kalamazoo Canal Society.
