This camp explores life in Stony Creek Village. Following the lives of Sarah, Bertha, and other residents of the Van Hoosen Farm, campers will do old fashioned chores, crafts, explore nature, and visit the one-room school house and/or family cemetery. The day is topped off with a dip in the shimmering, babbling, refreshing Stony Creek. Ages 7 -11.

Make it a Movie Night at Meadow Brook – the historic 1929 mansion is filled with grand spaces &amp; remarkable details, including a special movie space in the two story Gothic-inspired ballroom. See the stars of yesteryear sing, dance, thrill and delight on our massive silver screen. It will be an evening to remember, whether you’re enjoying date night or an evening out with friends.
The evening invites you to explore the Great Estate inside and out, from our elegant library and dining room to our expansive gardens in full bloom, before watching a classic Hollywood movie. Enjoy a cash bar throughout the event, complimentary popcorn (paid refills available) and a popsicle during the movie. Be swept up in the romance of a classic movie night at a spectacular location! The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is open for drop-in hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 12 - 3pm, with a Guided Tour of the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse at 1:00pm and the 1850 Red House immediately following. 
Included with your admission is a self-paced, interactive look at our community’s local history. You also get to meet the Taylor-Van Hoosen families, check out Mastodon bones, and enjoy a wide variety of local videos from the Newberry Hill ski jump to our award-winning PBS movie and numerous computer interactives. The guided tour of the Van Hoosen Farmhouse departs from the Dairy Barn at 1:00 pm, and you may take a self-guided tour of the Bull Barn, Milk House, Equipment Barn, and Children’s Garden, as well as the nearby Stoney Creek Cemetery, and our 16 acres of grounds. Come and share your afternoon with us at our site – listed on the National Register of Historic Places!

The Rochester Grangers existed as a base ball club as early as 1871. Vintage base ball is played representing a time period when gentleman played for leisure and not for competition. You will not see any spitting, sliding, or wagering at these matches! Home matches are played at the Museum and guests should bring their own chairs or blankets, cool drinks, and sun protection.

All levels are welcome to join, which will focus on stretching and strengthening the body to release stress and rejuvenate.
