Previous public office, appointive or elective

State Representative 2015-2020, Rochester Hills City Councilman 2007-2014.

Why are you seeking this office?

To help families lower the cost of living that is affecting all of our lives, give parents a voice in their child's education, and improve our state.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I was effective as a State Representative, working to build relationships and work across the aisle to pass into law 15 Public Acts with almost as many signed by Governor Whitmer as signed by Governor Snyder. I have seven years of local government experience and can work with local officials.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

NA

Do you think the federal government can or should do more to curb inflation, which has led to an increase in prices for food, gas and other goods?

Yes

Do you support changing the state’s constitution to ensure that women have to right to get an abortion?

While I do not support the proposed ballot proposal that allows abortion up to birth, I do think the legislature and governor need to work together to craft a bi-partisan solution to this issue moving forward.

Do you support the Raise the Wage ballot initiative, which would increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2027 and provide cost-of-living increases in later years?

No

Would you support an election initiative to require another audit of the 2020 presidential election, to transfer authority over the audit from the Secretary of State to a newly created auditing panel, and to change how elections are reviewed in the future?

No

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

We must budget for our priorities and finally get on a realistic path to fix our roads and underground infrastructure. It is a quality of life issue for our state.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Please see above as it relates to my time as a State Representative. As a city councilman, Rochester Hills was recognized as a Top 10 place nationally to live and also one of the safest communities in Michigan.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
