Robert Downes and Jeannette Wildman will share their seven-month trip around the world in presentation at Rochester Hills Public Library.

Join Robert Downes and Jeannette Wildman will share a digital video adventure, “Seven Months Around the World,” based on their trip from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Rochester Hills Public Library.
The couple are the authors of the new book, “Travels With My Wife,” and will be signing copies at the event.
The Rochester Hills library staff promises laughs, adventure and great travel ideas at their presentation. For the couple, backpacking around the world meant being together virtually every minute for seven months in the heat and dust of foreign cities, tropical jungles, and the ramshackle trains and buses of 13 exotic countries.

Downes and Wildman saved up for four years to make the trip, which celebrated her retirement after 30 years as a day-care provider. With a budget of $166 per day, their adventures included hiking for six days through the mountains of Tasmania, bicycling through Tuscany and the islands of Croatia, traveling through the recent war zone of Sri Lanka, and much more.
Registration is required and open to those with a Rochester Hills Public library card.
