Lifelong Oakland County Resident, David Blair Announces Campaign for Election to Rochester Hills City Council Serving District 2

Rochester Hills resident, David Blair, has officially announced his campaign for election to Rochester Hills City Council serving District 2. Blair, along with his wife and two young children, have been residents of Rochester Hills for the past 10 years. Blair feels honored that so many community leaders, friends and family have already shown their support.
“It’s been amazing to be a part of such an authentic and vibrant community as my wife and I began raising our family,” said Blair. “In 2019 when a seat opened on Rochester Hills City Council, I knew it was time for me to take the next step in giving back to our community.”
It was when Blair became a business-owner that he began to see and understand the importance of a city that is committed to a sustainable quality of life. From the residents and schools to the local businesses and chamber of commerce, Blair feels that Rochester Hills is unlike any other city.

“The character you see in the individuals and families in this community is inspiring,” said Blair. “Growing up in Oakland County, I can truly say that Rochester Hills is the ideal place to live and raise a family.”
If elected, Blair is committed to continuing to preserve the city’s integrity while it continues to grow and welcome new businesses, residents and corporations. During his time with the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Greater Rochester, Blair was able to ‘look under the hood’ of how the Rochester Hills is run and was continually impressed by its commissions, staff and leadership. He hopes to join that team of leaders, devoting his time to be an advocate for the residents of District 2.

“I feel it is essential to uphold the values of our community,” said Blair. “Whether it be bringing in new businesses or planning infrastructure, it is the duty of City Council to do anything in our power to preserve the integrity and character of Rochester Hills for its residents.”
Blair holds a Master of Science in Information Systems, Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. He is currently President of CVTech, a local IT services firm.
In addition to his professional experience, Blair has been involved in numerous community organizations both as a volunteer and leader. His community affiliations include Rochester Rotary Club; Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce; Member of the Board of Directors for Chichester Homeowners Association; Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation; Alumni Advisory Board of Sigma Pi Faternity; and Member and Officer of Stony Creek Lodge # 5,Free & Accepted Masons.
