Doll Found In MI Woods Mistaken For Decomposing Body: Report

PONTIAC, MI — What authorities initially thought was a body found in a wooded area in Oakland County actually turned out to be a doll, according to a report.

Oakland County deputies made the discovery when responding to a report of a body found near East Montcalm and North Saginaw streets in Pontiac, ClickOnDetroit reported.

Initially, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said deputies discovered a decomposing body.

On Friday, however, authorities walked back the report, confirming deputies actually discovered a doll.
