Have you ever seen a pumpkin launch 1187 feet into the air from a medieval blockade weapon? You will see this and much more at the 4th annual Lake Orion Pumpkin Launch.
There is an open division in which teams shoot an eight to ten pound pumpkin, and a junior division for kids 15 and younger to shoot a five to six pound pumpkin.
The event is free for those with an annual vehicle permit, or $5 per car for park entry.
