Firebrick Gallery & Pottery Studio and Fieldstone Winery announce the exhibition, Mosaic Exploration featuring over 12 pieces by Michigan mosaic artist, Jacqueline Beauvais. The exhibition will take place at Fieldstone Winery, Firebrick’s extended gallery space, February 2nd to February 29th. The artist’s reception will be held Friday, February 10th from 6pm - 9pm and is free and open to the public.
Jacki began working with glass as a stained glass student and teacher, then discovered mosaics and has been creating them ever since. Her main focus is to explore different ways to use glass to create mosaics in 2d and 3d, with many of her pieces using recycled materials. From a frame created from cardboard to the use of Styrofoam as a base, her pieces are innovative and thought provoking and each piece is unique.
