Father and Son at Concert Attack Deputies, Put One in Chokehold: Sheriff
In another incident at DTE Energy Music Theatre, man who allegedly assaulted employee "grabbed her by the breast and … dragged her around."

CLARKSTON, MI — An Oakland County deputy was put in a chokehold while trying to control an unruly guest at a country music concert at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston Saturday night, Undersheriff Mike McCabe said in a news release.
In all, three people at the Hank Williams Jr. and Chris Stapleton concert were arrested in two separate incidents, according to the news release.
In the first incident around 9:45 p.m., deputies were called to the pavilion area of the venue to control a 22-year-old “intoxicated and disorderly person,” according to the news release.

As the deputies approached the stage area, the 22-year-old man allegedly punched the deputy in the face with his fist. While attempting to control the man, his 44-year-old father is accused of approaching deputies from behind and placing one of them in a chokehold.
Deputies had to deploy a Taser weapon to control the younger man, and additional deputies arrived to control his father, according to the release. Both men, of Monroe, were taken into custody and are being held in the Oakland County Jail pending formal charges, McCabe said.

The deputy who was hit in the face was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
In the second incident, which occurred about 9:50 p.m., a “highly intoxicated” 44-year-old man from Linden allegedly assaulted an 18-year-old woman from Orion Township who is a guest services employee at the venue.
When she asked to see the man’s ticket and seating assignment, he allegedly pushed her backward and struck her in the throat area with his elbow, then “grabbed her by the breast and … dragged her around.”
Additional guest services employees and other guests had to pull the man off of the worker, McCabe said.
The victim complained of minor injuries and was treated by medical staff assigned to the venue during the concert.
The man who allegedly attacked her was taken to the Oakland County Jail pending formal criminal charges.
Detectives are continuing to investigate both incidents, McCabe said.
