GM Warning: Don't Use Wipers on Some SUVs, Even in Rain
Most of the affected 2016 vehicles are still on dealer lots. If rain stops owners from returning them, GM says it has that covered.

The Detroit-based automaker said it is recalling nearly 32,000 new 2016 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia vehicles so it can fix the problem. Only 6,400 of the vehicles have been sold so far, and others will remain at dealerships until they’re fixed, The Associated Press reports.

The latest recall comes as the auto industry is under increased pressure to improve its reporting to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The problem was discovered at an assembly plant near Lansing, where GM manufactures its SUVs, and was reported on Sept. 21 by a quality manager at the plant. GM began its investigation five days later.
No fires have happened outside the plant, GM said.
