Rochester Hills-raised Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Ciccone Leon, is attending the University of Michigan, as her famous mother briefly did four decades ago before heading to New York City to pursue a dance career

Lourdes’ name is officially listed on the U-M’s online student directory, which says she is an undergraduate in the School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

Madonna, 55, posted an Instagram photo in front of the MDen on the Ann Arbor campus Tuesday and said, “I think I’ll stop in here!”  The Detroit Free Press said a store employee couldn’t confirm if Madonna followed through.

Michiganders have been speculating that Lourdes, who recently graduated from New York’s LaGuardia High School, would attend college in her mom’s native state. The two were spotted last November on the U-M campus.

The 55-year-old superstar returned home to the The Mitten three weeks ago, the Detroit Free Press said, and said in a statement that she’s eager to participate in Detroit’s rebuilding process.
