Jad Fakhoury excels in academics, athletics and community service

Avondale senior named Class of 2020 Co-Valedictorian

Avondale High School Class of 2020 Co-Valedictorian, Jad Fakhoury, resides in Rochester Hills, Michigan with his parents Jihad and Amal Fakhoury. He is the Vice President of National Honor Society and a member of Spanish Honor Society. In addition, Jad played Varsity lacrosse and Varsity tennis and was a member of the Varsity cross country and Varsity track teams. Throughout his high school career, Jad supported many student initiatives including performing in the Diversity Club Assembly and assisting with the NHS Red Cross Blood Drive. He won the Cross Country Purple and Gold Award and took 1st Place in the Diocese of Midwest Oratorical Competition.

Jad is also the President of Rochester/Auburn Hills Community Coalition Youth Action Council and the Treasurer of the Society of Orthodox Youth through St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church of Troy. In the fall, Jad will be attending the University of Michigan to pursue study in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience.
