Kardashian Lookalike Featured in Lawsuit Ad Grew Up in Rochester Hills

Melissa Molinaro studied at Deborah's Stage Door; today she lives in Los Angeles and is featured in ad campaign that is target of Kardashian lawsuit.

Melissa Molinaro was Melissa Smith when she lived in Rochester Hills as a teen-ager. She studied at Deborah's Stage Door and aspired to be a performer.

Today, Molinaro, 29, lives in Los Angeles and is best known as the Kim Kardashian lookalike who starred in an ad campaign for Old Navy, a campaign that is now the subject of a lawsuit by reality show star Kardashian.

According to The Huffington Post, Kardashian is suing the clothing store and its parent company, The Gap In., alleging their ads violated her publicity rights by featuring a woman who looks like her.

The ad has more than 2 million views on Old Navy's YouTube channel.

According to Molinaro's biography on www.melissamolinaro.com, she was born Melissa Smith in Toronto and moved to Rochester Hills when she was 13. The biography says she was cast in the lead in local productions of Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and Cabaret. Her father and brother still work in the automotive industry in Detroit, the biography states.
