Legendary Guitarist Carlos Santana Collapses During Pine Knob Concert

CLARKSTON, MI — Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana is recovering after he collapsed on stage Tuesday night while playing at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston.
The 74-year-old guitar legend was "doing well" after he was overcome with heat exhaustion and dehydration, a statement from Santana's manager said.
Photos and video posted to social media showed medics treating Santana on stage after he passed out about 40 minutes into his set. As he was wheeled away from the stage, he appeared to wave, prompting cheers from fans.

Officials canceled the rest of Santana's Pine Knob show as he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fans were told to leave the music theater around 10:30 p.m.
Santana told fans on Facebook he "forgot to eat and drink water," which led to heat exhaustion and dehydration.

"To one and all, thank you for your precious prayers. Cindy and I we are good just taking it easy," Santana wrote in a Facebook post. "Blessings and miracles to you all."
Officials also postponed Santana's Wednesday evening show in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, where he was scheduled to perform alongside Earth, Wind, & Fire.
