Macomb Fence Company Never Starts Job After Customers Paid: Officials
The owner of a Macomb County fence company took money from three customers and then never started the job, prosecutors said.
MACOMB TOWNSHIP, MI — The owner of a Macomb County fence company is facing charges after prosecutors said she took money from three customers and never started the jobs.
Laura Dietz was charged with three counts of false pretenses with intent to defraud between $1,000 and $20,000, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office. Each count is a five-year felony. Her next court appearance is scheduled for March 7.
Dietz, 40, from Macomb Township, is the owner of Dietz Fence Company. Prosecutors said she took thousands of dollars from three customers for fence jobs.

However, nobody from the company started the jobs and customers couldn't reach Dietz after making their first payment, prosecutors said.
The customers never got their money back, prosecutors said.
