Major Grocery Chain Hiring 175 Workers For New Oakland County Store

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Meijer is looking to hire 175 workers for its new Oakland County store.

The new 75,000-square-foot grocery store will be located at 1495 N. Rochester Road in Rochester Hills. Store officials did not cite a specific opening date, just that it will open sometime this year.

Those interested in applying can do so on Meijer's website by clicking “Search New Store Open Jobs,” then selecting the position they’re interested in.

Meijer said it will begin screening applicants in the coming weeks with interview plans this month.

Some positions they are looking to hire include clerks, cake decorators, customer service, cashiers and receiving.

The Grand Rapids-based, family-owned retailer has more than 125 locations with roughly 40,000 workers in Michigan.
