Man Accused In Deadly Oakland County Mall Shooting Released From Jail: Police

AUBURN HILLS, MI — A man accused of fatally shooting another man and wounding a woman inside Auburn Hills' Great Lakes Mall over the weekend has been released, according to police.
Police said the 22-year-old man was released from the Oakland County Jail, pending further investigation from prosecutors.
The shooting happened last Saturday inside the mall during a fight between three men, according to police.

The incident started with an altercation between the 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old man inside a bathroom at the mall, police said.
Some time later, the 20-year-old man and another man saw the 22-year-old at a food court, where they confronted him again, leading to another fight, according to police.

That's when the 22-year-old man fatally shot the 20-year-old man, according to police.
A 19-year-old woman was also struck by gunfire and suffered non-life-threatening wounds, according to police.
