Man Charged In Fatal Oxford Township Motorcycle Crash: Sheriff
Police said the crash happened in May at an Oxford Township intersection.
OXFORD TOWNSHIP, MI — A Farmington Hills man is facing charges in connection with a fatal crash that happened in May in Oxford Township, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
Jimmie Allen Haggadone, 66, of Orion Township, was killed after he was hit by a car while riding a motorcycle in Oxford Township on May 1, according to the sheriff's office.
Adnan Ali Eltobji, 54, was charged with a moving violation causing death in connection with the crash. He was released from jail after posting a $5,000 bond. His next court date is scheduled for Aug. 21.

If convicted, Eltobji faces up to one year in jail and/or a $2,000 fine.
Police said Haggadone was riding a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle south on North Lapeer Road toward a flashing yellow signal at West Oakwood Road in the afternoon hours on May 1, according to the sheriff's office.

At roughly the same time, police said Eltobji, who was driving a 2012 Toyota Corolla, pulled in front of the motorcyclist, causing the crash.
Haggadone was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators determined that Eltobji failed to complete a stop at the flashing red signal at the intersection and made a right turn onto southbound North Lapeer Road, into the path of the motorcycle, causing the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
