Meadow Brook Hall offers new Downton Abbey-themed tour
Celebrate the release of the new Downton Abbey film with a special immersion tour of a servants life at the Great Estate-Meadow Brook Hall.

Step back into the world of Lady Mary, Carson and Mrs. Patmore to celebrate the release of the new Downton Abbey film—by experiencing the downstairs life of servants through a special immersion tour of iconic Meadow Brook Hall this September.
A Servant’s Life is a unique tour where visitors will have a chance to see life as it was lived at Michigan’s own Downton Abbey, when the head housekeeper invites them to be part of the staff. Guests will learn how the servants lived and worked at The Hall in this behind-the-scenes immersion tour at the Great Estate. The experience includes tea and scones in the Servants’ Dining Room.
The new Downton Abbey film reunites all of the main characters from the beloved TV series in a sweeping cinematic story about the King and Queen visiting the estate in the 1920s. The television series “Downton Abbey” followed the joys, tragedies and dramas of the Crawley family and the servants who worked for them at the turn of the turn of the 20th Century in the family’s Edwardian English castle.
Over its six seasons, the series garnered 3 Golden Globe Awards, 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, 69 Emmy nominations in total, making Downton Abbey the most nominated non-US television show in the history of the Emmys—even earning a Special BAFTA award and a Guinness World Record for the highest critically rated TV show along the way.
