Micaiah Whitaker earns Top Scholar honors
Avondale High School student headed to Ohio State University

Avondale High School Class of 2020 Top Scholar, Micaiah Whitaker Resides in Auburn Hills, Michigan, with her parents Findell and Meco Whitaker. Micaiah is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society. In addition, she was the Vice President of the Avondale chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), and a Future Problem Solver, competing in state-wide competitions at the University of Michigan.
Micaiah is a member of the Yellow Jacket Marching Band and the Avondale High School Band. A trumpet section leader, she received Excellent ratings at Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association festivals. Recognized for her dedication and leadership, she was honored with the National School Marching Award.
Micaiah plans to major in pre-pharmacy at Ohio State University and then pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy. She also plans to explore art and animation and continue her study of the Spanish language.
