'Mirror Mirror' Actor Returning Home to Promote Movie, Charity Game
Troy native Martin Klebba, who plays Butcher in new Snow White film, will sign autographs Saturday at Emagine.

Actor Martin Klebba, who grew up in Troy and graduated from , will return to his hometown this weekend to promote his latest movie — and a worthy cause by a hometown friend.
Klebba plays the grumpy dwarf named Butcher in Mirror Mirror, the newest Snow White-themed film to hit the screen. He is best known for roles in Pirates of the Caribbean and the recent Project X.
Saturday morning, he'll be the special guest at a in Rochester Hills. Tickets are $10 for the 10:30 a.m. show; for a $20 donation to the Coalition for Dwarf Advocacy, you can get Klebba's autograph after the movie. Call 586-337-7771 or email colin@bizmatchconnect.com for tickets.

Klebba's movie-viewing event coincides with another event he is in town for. It's a celebrity basketball game at and it's all for a great cause.
The game features The Statesmen, a world-renowned dwarf basketball team. Colin McConnell, a Rochester entrepreneur, has organized the game to raise money for dwarf adoption awareness. McConnell and Klebba are lifelong friends from their days at Athens.

"In other countries, just because you're born different you're treated horribly," McConnell said. "In other countries if you're born a dwarf, it's even worse. I've heard of dwarf children being put in Dumpsters. I've heard of them being kept in cribs around the clock.
"My goal is to get kids out of these situations and put into loving homes. I live my life that it doesn't matter the gender, race or size of a child — they need a good home."
Last month, to play in his basketball game; the Detroit rocker had another commitment and wasn't able to attend, McConnell said. Instead, the celebrity lineup includes Mojo from Mojo in the Morning, Rick Mahorn and Don Reid of the Detroit Pistons and NFL player T.J. Duckett, among others.
The basketball game starts at 1 p.m. at the O'Rena. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased in advance (call 586-337-7771) or at the door. After the game, there will be an after-party at 6 p.m. at in downtown Rochester.
