US veterans have served us by serving our country, and we should return their service by expressing our gratitude.
To accomplish this, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association has started the initiative Muslims for Veterans, in which they have visited national cemeteries, have raised 25,000 dollars with the goal of reaching 100,000 dollars, and visited VA hospitals across the United States on June 15th.
As an American Muslim, I would like to dispel the misconception that Muslims are not loyal to America as the Prophet of Islam said, "Love of one's country is a part of one's faith." This is the love and service necessary for the veterans who risked their lives for our country.
