Nancy Salvia Officially Announces Her Campaign for Election to Rochester City Council

Nancy Salvia has lived in the Rochester area for more than 20 years and is committed to seeing this community continue to grow and thrive.

Long-time Rochester resident, Nancy Salvia, officially announces her campaign for election to Rochester City Council.

A dedicated community ambassador, Nancy Salvia has lived in the Rochester area for more than 20 years and is committed to seeing this community continue to grow and thrive.

Nancy is a member of the Women’s Fund of Rochester, Community Foundation Board of Directors, Dream Centers of Michigan Board of Directors and President of the Board for Project Beautiful Inside and Out. A graduate of Leadership Rochester, Nancy has also been an Ambassador with the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce. Nancy spends much of her time giving back and mentoring youth both in Rochester and throughout Metro Detroit.

After 18 years at Chrysler in management/senior management, Nancy is now a Senior Financial Advisor-Vice President with Merrill Lynch. She entered the financial services field out of a desire to serve people in the area of their financial lives and have her own business.

Nancy’s educational background includes a BS of Business from Miami University Oxford, OH and a MBA from the University of Detroit. She holds the CRPC professional certification as awarded by the College of Financial Planning and is currently pursuing additional certifications as a Wealth Advisor. Her unique background and financial expertise give her the experience needed to assist the City of Rochester in maintaining fiscal responsibility while developing business growth.

Addressing the challenges in Rochester’s infrastructure while continuing to serve the community’s needs is of paramount importance to Nancy. She understands homeowners and taxpayer perspective and will work to address the issues facing residents.

Rochester is a destination location and one of Oakland County’s most sought after communities in which to live. As the community continues to grow in both business and residential population, Nancy’s goal will be to listen, speak up and take action when needed.

“Rochester is where we live, work and play,” said Salvia. “ I call it a gem of a community. I am honored for the opportunity to serve this community on Rochester City Council.”

Nancy, and her husband Joe, enjoy traveling, good food, bicycling and hiking Paint Creek Trail with family.
