Non-profit Meadow Brook Theatre looks to the community for year-end giving

Non-Profit Meadow Brook Theatre has been producing Broadway-quality theatre on the campus of Oakland University for 50 years.

Throughout the year the Meadow Brook Theatre entertains school children from surrounding areas, large tour groups, and local theatre lovers with Broadway-quality shows.

Over the past 50 years the theatre has become a prominent feature of the metro-Detroit arts scene with their diverse theatre seasons. Seeing a play at Meadow Brook Theatre is always a unique experience, shows range from raucous comedies and heartfelt dramas, to rocking musicals and holiday classics. However, one thing is guaranteed, the quality of the production will always impress. As a non-profit the theatre is sustained by the generous giving of its patrons in addition to ticket revenue.

"Giving to Meadow Brook Theatre truly gives to the culture and enrichment of our entire community," says Andrea Walker-Leidy, Development Director at the Theatre, "Our theatre is home to six Broadway-quality productions a year, with actors and talent coming from across the country. Combine that with the thousands of children who come through our doors for children's shows and our beloved 'A Christmas Carol', and Meadow Brook Theatre becomes an education in the arts and Michigan's answer to Broadway, right in our backyard."
