Oakland Co. Teen Arrested After Posting Anti-Semitic Threats: Cops
Officers arrested the teen Wednesday night after they said he made a social media post threatening to shoot and kill Jewish people.
OXFORD, MI — An Oxford teen was arrested Wednesday after making a social media post threatening to shoot and kill Jewish people, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.
The 14-year-old boy was placed at Oakland County Children’s Village without bond, as detectives seek charges, officials said. His next court hearing is set for Oct. 19.
"As I have repeatedly said, we will fully investigate every threat against any person, school or institution and seek to hold those that make threats accountable," Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. "If you make a threat, we are coming for you. And that’s not a threat, it’s a promise."

Federal agents told Oakland County officials that the boy posted social media pictures of guns, threatening to kill unspecified Jewish people at the Legacy Center (Urban Air), 925 N. Lapeer Road in Oxford Township, officials said.
Detectives investigated the facility Wednesday night and found nothing unusual, officials said.

A further investigation led officials to the boy's home, where he admitted to posting the pictures and making the threats on social media to officers, officials said.
Police took three handguns that belonged to the boy's father from the home and multiple live rounds from the boy's room, officials said.
