Oakland County Deputy Accused Of Soliciting Sex From Teen: Report
A self-proclaimed vigilante told Fox 2 Detroit he caught the deputy soliciting sex from a 15-year-old girl through the Whisper app.
OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — An Oakland County deputy was suspended without pay after allegations he was caught trying to solicit sex online from an underage teen, Fox 2 Detroit reported.
Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard confirmed officials were looking into the 33-year-old deputy after a Pontiac man, who works as a vigilante to catch child predators online, said the deputy exchanged numerous sexual messages with a fake profile pretending to be a 15-year-old girl, the report said.
Robert Lee, a self-proclaimed vigilante, told the news outlet he posed as the 15-year-old girl on the Whisper app and told the deputy they could get in trouble if they go through with it but said the deputy continued with sexual conversations, the report said.
