Oakland County Man Fatally Stabs Dad's Girlfriend: Police

Investigators turned over their findings to prosecutors on Monday for possible charges.

PONTIAC, MI — A Pontiac man was arrested after fatally stabbing his father's girlfriend inside a home over the weekend, according to sheriff's officials.

The stabbing happened shortly after midnight on Saturday at a home in the 30 block of N. Roselawn in Pontiac, officials said.

When officers arrived at the home, they found 57-year-old Monique Taylor lying on a bedroom floor and bleeding heavily with stab wounds to her torso, arms and hands, officials said.

She was taken to a nearby hospital where she died, officials said.

Officers found the son, who lived inside the home with his father and Taylor, in the kitchen area, officials said.

They also found a bloody kitchen knife in the area, officials said.

He was arrested without incident, officials said.

The father was in the living room at the time of the stabbing and went to investigate when he heard the commotion, officials said.

That's when his son told him that his girlfriend was dead, officials said.
