Oakland County Man Killed In Rollover Crash On Dixie Highway: Sheriff

Investigators believe speed played a role in the crash, but were immediately unsure about alcohol.

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, MI — A 24-year-old Pontiac man was killed in a crash on the Dixie Highway early Sunday, according to the county's sheriff's office.

The crash happened at 2:01 a.m. Sunday on Dixie Highway, south of Maybee Road in Independence Township, officials said.

Officials said Jeffrey Alejandro Euceda-Cruz was driving a 2010 Nissan GT-R south south on the freeway when he lost control of the car.

The car crossed over into the northbound lanes and struck a curb, rolling over and ejecting Euceda-Cruz from the vehicle, officials said.

Euceda-Cruz was killed in the crash, officials said.

Investigators do not know why Euceda-Cruz lost control of the car. They believe speed played a role in the crash, but were immediately unsure about alcohol.

He was not wearing a seatbelt, officials said.
