Man Killed In New Year's Day Hit-And-Run In Oakland County: Sheriff
Police offered a reward up to $1,000 for information about the fatal crash.
PONTIAC, MI — Police asked the public for help to find two vehicles in connection to a fatal New Year's Day hit-and-run crash in Oakland County.
Esteban Cruz Luciano, 41, was walking across Perry Street near Pontiac Road in Pontiac on Monday at 4:32 a.m. when he was hit by an SUV, which witnesses described as an older model GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Tahoe, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
Luciano was then struck by a second vehicle that witnesses described as a small pickup truck, similar to a Dodge Dakota, according to the sheriff's office.

Luciano was taken to McLaren Oakland Hospital where he died after suffering significant head trauma in the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
The drivers of both vehicles in connection to the crash did not stop. No further information about the vehicles or the crash was released by police.

Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP for a reward of up to $1,000. You will remain anonymous.
