OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Oakland County Congresswoman Haley Stevens said she won't run for Michigan's open U.S. Senate seat in 2024.

Sen. Debbie Stabbenow (D-MI) announced in January she would seek reelection to the seat in 2024, sending shockwaves through Michigan's political class. She was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2000.

"I am unbelievably proud to represent Oakland County in Congress, the economic engine of the Midwest," Stevens said. "After deep consideration, I have decided that I can best serve Michigan's working families, manufacturers, students, and small businesses in my current role."
