Investigators began looking into the sexual abuse claims earlier this month after getting a report that the parents were sexually abusing children in their home in the 300 block of Cass Avenue in Pontiac, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators were unable to get specific details during interviews with the victims, according to the sheriff’s office.
Last week, investigators interviewed a witness who provided sufficient evidence for deputies to get an arrest warrant on Henke, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators then questioned Purdy who confirmed Henke committed the crimes, according to the sheriff’s office.
After further investigation, investigators learned Purdy was an accessory to the alleged abuse and arrested her, according to the sheriff’s office.
"The cases that involve children are some of the more disgusting and important cases that we deal with," Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said in a statement. "These individuals need to be held responsible and the children need and deserve a nurturing environment to begin a healing process."
