Rochester Among Several Oakland County Community Getting AT&T Network Upgrades
Capacity and speed enhancements made to boost service on the telecom's local mobile network.
As part of ongoing improvements to its wireless network, AT&T has boosted coverage in Rochester, adding greater capacity or bandwidth to a tower in town.
Rochester is among several Oakland County communities getting upgrades, including Southfield, Novi and Berkley.
These upgrades are like adding more lanes to a highway carrying traffic from a customer’s device to the cell tower, resulting in faster speeds.

“Our Michigan employees are focused on bringing a better mobile experience to southeast Michigan and across the state. Our investment in the local wireless network is one way we’re accomplishing that,” said Jim Murray, president, AT&T Michigan.
