Rochester Asking Artists To Paint Murals For Magical Mural Tour

ROCHESTER, MI — Rochester is asking artists to paint murals for the upcoming Magical Mural Tour.

The 4’x 8’ pop up murals will be displayed all around downtown Rochester with a tour that begins on Sep. 4 and runs through Oct 16, officials said.

The Rochester Downtown Development Authority is accepting applications from all artists of all ages. All selected murals will be entered into People’s Choice & Judges’ Choice Contests, with the winning mural artist each receiving a $250 cash prize.

"The opportunity to see pop-up art all around Downtown Rochester is a must-see event," Executive Director of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority Kristi Trevarrow said. "The Magical Mural Tour will give our community one more reason to visit downtown and experience all that downtown has to offer."
