"I've been wanting to be in Clarkston for 15 years now and have had several failed attempts to do so, including The Deer Lake Inn itself some 10 years ago," Bill Kruse said. "We have many residents of Clarkston who are regulars in our Rochester and Lake Orion locations and are excited about this opportunity."

Kruse said plans call for a minor expansion of the kitchen and an outdoor summer patio at the Clarkston location. The new restaurant is 2,850 square feet and will have about 80 seats.
