ROCHESTER-ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Summer is almost over for Rochester-Rochester Hills students. The first day of school in the Rochester Community District is Monday, Aug. 26.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

Start date: Monday, Aug. 26

Professional development day, no school: Sept. 27

Family-teacher conferences: Oct. 2 (Middle School), Oct. 3 (High Schools) and Oct. 9 (High Schools), Oct. 10 (Middle School).

High School Homecoming: Oct. 5

End of first quarter: Nov. 1

Professional development day, no school: Nov. 4

Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 5

Elementary Family-teacher conferences window: Nov. 11-26

Thanksgiving break: Nov. 27-29

Winter break: Dec. 23-Jan. 3

End of second quarter: Jan. 17

Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Monday, Jan. 20

Professional development day, no school: Feb. 7

Mid-winter break: Feb. 14-19
