ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Officials are asking the Rochester Hills community to help guide them on possible changes for Adams Road between Hamlin Road to Walton Boulevard.
The first public "visioning workshop" will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at University Presbyterian Church, 1385 S. Adams Road in Rochester Hills, where presenters will provide ideas.
The Planning and Environmental Study is spearheaded by the city of Rochester Hills, the Road Commission for Oakland County and Oakland University. The study could take up to four years to complete.

While officials acknowledge the road's 2.2-mile stretch is unique and beautiful, officials said an increase in development, population and traffic congestion has led to safety concerns.
The $2 million study, provided by a federal grant, offers the community an opportunity to decipher ideas with officials that may include phased improvements on the road, other improvements or maybe no changes at all.
